Haji Abdul Rahman Othman, Secretary General of Global Islamic Unity Forum (GIUF) gave away cooking stoves and gas cylinders to recent flood victims of Kampung Kuantan in Selangor Malaysia.
Kampung Kuantan is the world famous fire fly sanctuary. During the flood the place was inundated with flood water up to four feet. Many household belongings including cooking stoves were destroyed.
The Board of Management GIUF felt compelled to relieve the flood victims. After discussion with local community leaders it was decided that cooking stoves and gas cylinders are some of the essentials to alleviate residents back to normal life.
