The world is moving towards postglobalisation. Nationalism is breeding in Europe and fast spreading to Asia. A nation security now takes precedence over prosperity.
Germany and Netherlands cut cheaper gas supplies from Russia and buy from USA at
higher price. Cost competitiveness takes backstage and political and security alignment
become important consideration.
Sanctions and tariffs are new weapons of economic war. USA and NATO froze Russian financial assets. Russia retaliated by freezing EU banks assets.
Conflicts erupted in the region of Ukraine – Russia and Israel – Palestine. The South China Sea and Straits of Malacca are dangerous flashpoints.
Nations have to refocus their priorities. Start building national security and strength.
The people must be trained to build resilience. We have to learn to survive difficult times. Live with less. Islam’s teaching for moderation including fasting is a good training ground.
Post-globalisation forces a realignment of nations. BRICS spearheaded by China and Russia is gaining momentous support. Even the survival of United Nation is threatened. The once powerful nations of G7 is weakening.
Hence, Global Islamic Unity Forum (GIUF) wish to exhorts muslims worldwide to foster unity to build strength and resilience
