Warm Wishes on Malaysia’s 66th Independence Day from Global Islamic Unity Forum (GIUF)
As the radiant sun graces the horizon, we gather to commemorate the precious gift of freedom on this joyous occasion of Malaysian Independence Day. Allah’s blessings have guided us through history, and it is with deep gratitude that we honor the sacrifices of our predecessors.
In the realm of Islam, unity is cherished and diversity is celebrated. As we come together as Malaysians, we heed the wisdom of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who said: “The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.” Let us remember that our unity is not just a social bond, but a spiritual connection that resonates with the teachings of Islam.
On this auspicious day, as we wave the flag of Malaysia high, let’s be inspired by another hadith of the Prophet ﷺ: “He is not a true believer who eats his fill while his neighbour remains hungry by his side.” This profound teaching emphasizes the importance of empathy, kindness, and sharing our blessings with those around us.
Our efforts combined with reliance on Allah’s wisdom have led us to where we stand today – a nation thriving in unity.
As we celebrate the spirit of independence, let us uphold the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah in our lives. May Allah’s blessings continue to shower upon our beloved united Malaysia, and may we grow as a nation, bound by faith and harmony.
Selamat Hari Merdeka! May Allah’s blessings be upon Malaysia and its people. Amiin.
